The Missing Link is a professional manufacturers’ agent covering these Western states: Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Northwestern Wyoming.

We have a huge geographical territory, but an extremely small population. For this reason, we call on a broad spectrum of accounts. This strategy allows us to call on various buyers at the very few major retailers headquartered here, while offering us the opportunity to maximize the number of calls on independent stores. Our flexibility in coverage and our wide sales experience allows us to meet the challenge of handling any type of account or selling situation.

Georgia Schorr, company founder, has had extensive business experience at both retail and wholesale levels. Establishing The Missing Link in May of 1984, she has successfully overseen its growth into an effective, creative sales organization, dedicated to a level of customer service that fosters loyal, long-term relationships. Because we understand positioning and market segmentation, our presentations are tailored specifically to meet each buyers’ unique needs.

Retailers constantly ask our advice about display and merchandising. Our award-winning display methods and concepts give our lines an extra impact at shows. We share our ideas with our retailers, even working side-by-side with them in their stores, routinely doing inventories and writing reorders for them. We save them time and effort by doing so, but we also assure maximum sales for our buyers and for our lines.

Before being asked to become a “Linkster”, each associate rep must meet very high standards of talent, skill and attitude. Each Linkster is trained to approach the territory in only one way: Always put the customers’ needs first, knowing that sales flow in only after a foundation of trust is built. We never ask, “What can I sell you? but, instead, “How can I help your business to succeed?” It is this attitude that gains our reps their buyers’ loyalty, confidence, and repeat business. We seek to develop this same spirit of partnership with every company we represent. All parties in our mutually dependent industry prosper when the relationship is one of mutual support, trust, and respect.
